World Setting & Story Premise
A vertically expanded kingdom of Hyrule, featuring floating Sky Islands high above, a changed surface recovering from the Upheaval, and the lightless, gloom-infested subterranean Depths underneath.
While exploring catacombs beneath Hyrule Castle, Link and Zelda awaken the mummified corpse of Ganondorf. Ganondorf shatters the Master Sword, corrupts Link’s right arm with Gloom, and triggers the Upheaval.
